Sazerac House is a multi-sensory and immersive exploration of New Orleans’ spirited culture intertwined with the Sazerac Co. The project is a combination/renovation of two 19th century buildings into a single six-story 48,000 sq. ft. cocktail museum, event space, and active distillery all intended to celebrate the iconic Sazerac brand history. Told across many layers, the team was tasked with developing an experience defining why a drink, a brand, and a distillery are intrinsically woven within the culture of an historic city.
Interactive kiosks brim with technology; the team of exhibit designers, media creators, and lighting designers collaborated to craft a magnificent and dynamic interactive visitor experience while collectively battling and overcoming a challenging project budget. Efficient LED fixtures—combined with a cutting-edge centralized lighting control system—seamlessly integrate with Building Management and Exhibit A/V systems deliver impressive energy savings, well below electrical code requirements. These achievements reflect the project goal of creating a rich and meaningful visitor experience, brimming with historic charm, while working to make technology invisible.
