Great Hill Partners wanted to create a new workspace to better reflect their culture; both employee and client. This new space delivers a balance of private and public spaces, encouraging new ways of working while cultivating dynamic and transparent teaming. The Available Light design supported the elegant yet edgy, layout that underlines Great Hill’s reputation as an accomplished, forward-thinking firm with a unique point of view. In the elevator and reception lobby, custom arrays of smoked glass pendants allow for a dramatic entrance into the space. A custom crystal chandelier—with supplemental video conferencing lighting—hangs in the spacious boardroom. Private offices are illuminated with glare-shielding linear direct pendant lighting fixtures. In circulation corridors, pairs of punctuating downlights produce a dramatic rhythm. Additionally, discreet track lighting provides subtle accents for the firm's artwork collection.
