The Sydney Opera House has been re-lit with custom made LED. The fixtures kept in tune with the architectural integrity of the building and upheld the previous atmospheric lighting standards for the Orchestra, while also upgrading for both energy and individualism. Each of the 355 lamps can be programmed individually, creating effects in the traditional setting for whatever the environment calls for. Which is one of the benefits of LED — versatility. We know the benefits in terms of energy costs and sustainability, but when it comes to depth of versatility, LED leads. Keeping the individualized programming contained in these fixtures will also save the Opera House time, money, and physical space by decreasing the need for specialty lighting fixtures. And just look at these fixtures in the space!
